Bapu's first post in the Songs forum. Cover of the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues".
Although I do collaborate in The Coffee House Band. This is my first "indie" post. In Feb of 2009 I got together with my band members from 30 years ago. We recorded about 16 songs live into SONAR. We ended up with 11 decent ones. This one, Roadhouse Blues ended up being a minor collaboration with our own nonat on harp. He goaded me into posting this here. :-) Cool morrison tune. It's a little rough but it has a live garrage band feel to it, so it fits. Please don't wait so long for the next one? Great vocals, and harp. Actually? Everything is pretty great, really wonderful performances all the way around.

It's a little rough but it has a live garrage band feel to it, so it fits. More than you know.  My studio is a converted garage.

Easy to hear why Frank wanted you to post it. It grooves. Really enjoyed hearing a tune with "life" in it and not so mechanical.
Maybe it's an appreciation from growing up in a garage band and a very cool take on a great tune.

As already mention a little rough around the edges but it does have a live feel about it. The drummer gives a certain Chicken Shack swing to the tune.

on the snare / hi-hat? snare was the CAD Pro-7 snare mic. I have a 57 but did not use it. hi-hat was my DBX reference mic.

Ed You old fart! This took me back to looking for roaches underneath the manky old matress we used to crash out on. I can even smell the half-empty cans of crap beer utilized as ash trays from here. I guess what I'm saying this whole thing is authentic at least. Have you tried hormone replacement therapy to counter this urge to re-visit your youth? It makes me glad that Johnny Rotten burst in on the scene and woke us all up before we did ourselves irrepairable damage (maybe he came too late for some of us). A perfect example....of what I'm not sure.....but a perfect example nonetheless. Well done.
