I tried this and the event list display the correct track. There are 33 MIDI tracks in the file, I selected only track 33 and opened the event list. The tab at the bottom displayed the correct track. Do you have any hidden tracks? Jerry www.jerrygerber.com/fivepiecesforvi1.htm konradh Here's an odd one: Select the last track in your project. Go to Event List. The tab at the bottom will display the wrong track number: one higher than the real number. For example, go to the event list of Track 27 and the tab at the bottom will say Track 28. (In Piano Roll or Staff, the tab shows whatever you named the track.) Event

I have encountered 2 major bugs really annoys me.. 1. the fade tool, let's say fade out, sometimes some tracks just won't do fades, the track audio stops at the fade starting point.. 2. also the fade tool, this time the fade out sound like they supposed to and I mix down the tracks.. now after the mixdown, the fade out part became silent at the fade starting point instead of fading out. 3. freeze tracks: sometimes freeze and unfreeze will mess up the volume and pan setting. like I panned a track to L50 and freeze it..and unfreeze.. the track will display the track is panned center and when I play back , the audio and the meter suggesting it's panned L50.....which is super annoying these 3 bugs really annoys me very well..I seriously thinking going back to 8.5..

I have to say that X1 simply crashes more often than 8.5.3. But it seems to be quiet random. Reported a bug but somehow the ticket system messed up. I got a link for reference, but it does not work. I routed a bus to the master output - crash. Using Nexus VST didn't really work. Had to buy jbridge. Stuff like that did not happen to me in 8.5.3 which was rock solid.

On the other hand some bugs i seemed to experiencing exclusively on Sonar 8.5.3 are now gone. For example i had to press the rec button multiple times to activate, what was always, well, kinda strange.

Fearful Symmetry sykodelic I've had a bug with the prochannel. Sometimes when I open projects I was working on a few of the pro channels will be dead in the water. It is not consistent and I have not found a work around other than deleting channel and adding new one This random operation of PC is proving to be a damn liability. I'm forced to give up on it as I cant afford to waste time checking every track in a project prior to mixing simply to make sure the compressor I activated the day before is still there. Also, I had 2 crashes today simply loading a small instrument in to Kontakt. This is new and embarrassing with clients watching! This is the first time in 17 years that I'm forced to revert. X1 is not a professional program and should not have been peddled as such. I'm seriously grumpy! PC make me nervous , if theres a bug that disables the modules , Well the developers should be fired this should not be the case after almost a year considering the PC is part of there major upgrade with the producers versions... Using X1 with clients in the room is a no go. I learned my lesson and been completely embarrassed . X1 is still supper buggy more so than any other version of sonar. I will never invite clients or friends to my studio when working with X1 I dont want to hear it , Why dont you use...blah blah blah.. because im the idiot that spent 10 year with sonar learning this program. Now back to the bugs... creating a bus then trying to undo Cntl Z keeps the bus there undo dose nothing, creating a bus for the browser preview sometimes dosen't work correctly .and the preview is slammed at 0db unable to lower. Groove clipping is still broken and documented , To many Groove clips runs you computer out of memory with unable to save and crashing, I Still have to use enable trails in preferences with my tascam , just because if i open up the help menu I get a loud noise when I click help. goes away when I hit play on the transport. 8.5.3 never had that problem with my Tascam. X1 comes out and it magicly becomes the boards fault . Ni maschine has a major bug with x1 ..which according to NI its a bug with Sonar and nothing they can do ,as none of the other daws have this problem. Act still dosen't work as intended not an X1 bug . My midi device have to be reinitialize to work sometimes. Midi learn dose not work with plugins. Snap still has a zoom in out bug .at different zoom levels snap dosn't snap where it should go until you zoom in.

I'm not sure about the 3rd one, but the first two are specific to DAWs based on Intel Sandy Bridge processor architecture. The problem has been acknowledged by Cakewalk, and a fix should be in the works: http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2316904

I use nexus with few issues in X1 x64 - the only problem that may be attributed to nexus is that at high RAM usage >4GB with unfozen instances of nexus in the project, invoking V-Vocal causes X1 to crash.

Bristol_Jonesey I'll be honest - X1 on my system was SO unstable, I had no choice but to uninstall it and wait for X1b. Not only that, but subsequently, my previously rock solid 8.5.3 setup had become, for want of better word, trashed. I spent several, miserable hours last night attempting to fix it and eventually had to completely unintsall 8.5, make the necessary registry edits and re-install. Thankfully, my efforts were worth it as 8.5.3 is now back as it was a month ago. wow this is what im affrad of,, i run 8-5 dayly and dont have a month to retool a tweeked up DAW , stick with what works
