Greg Henderschott's farewell letter did mention that there were exciting releases on the horizon. Maybe we wont be waiting too long.

And the cycle of looking for a new release begins again! lol. I presume we will see something about X2 by end of the year though, based on timing of X1 release and Cakewalks decision to stagger releases more. :)

I've got to admit that it would be nice to have a little excitement around here product wise. A nice update would be welcome.

I tried to raise a support ticket earlier. If you go to the "contact support" page, you get the following:- Cakewalk is closed in observance of Independence Day. We will be closed starting Wednesday, July 4th through Monday, July 9th as we prepare for some exciting Summer 2012 announcements! As a token of our appreciation, please use the following promo code to take an additional 10% off any Cakewalk product in the online store. Promo code: INDEPENDENCE Coupon expires Monday, July 9th, 2012. So there are some "exciting" announcements due soon, it seems...

. . . perhaps the bakers are quietly sitting around the oven, waiting for the CAKE to rise ? . . . then they'll serve it up when it's ready, like they always do.

cclarry Ok.. So it's been several months since the PC-2LA....and there really hasn't been a peep about WHAT'S COMING NEXT!!! Inquiring minds (and the mindless as well) want to know....or at least a hint....LOL New version X2.... and darker interface I hope... Add of VST3 would be more than helpful!

Mystic38 dont ask who Rick Wakeman is tho I've been a bit of a Wakeman fan mesel over the years, but I prefer him when he's working with Yes. A very talented player, without a doubt, and massively pretentious, but we love him for it. Over in the UK he used to do a morning slot, presenting Planet Rock, and he's a scream.
