Best F&C we ever had was on the sea front in Falmouth, Cornwall.

But again, our local outlet have upped their game recently (maybe because nobody was actually using the damn plaice place)

Californian Weirdo: I don't like fish, marine fish.

Jim: You are listening to KAOS here in Los Angeles
Californian Weirdo: I don't like fish

Jim: Yes, we've established that, Ah! Do you have a request?
Californian Weirdo: Shell fish, guppy, salmon, shrimp and crab and
lobster, flounder, I hate fish, but I think most of all I have
fresh fish, like trout. I hate fish trout. I have fresh trout. My
least-heted, favourite fish would be sole. That way you don't have
to see eyes. Sole has no eyes.
Jim: Oh no!
I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog.
Jim: Thank you.
I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog.
I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog.
I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog.
I'd like to be home with my monkey ...
Jim: They don't care. Shut up. Play the record.

At noon my partner and I decided to do lunch out today and I fancied good ol' Fish and Chips as I can't remember the last time I had them.

So off we went to the local chip parlour as I hadn't checked it out in ages and boy was I in for a nice surprise they've really upped their game and although a little pricey @ £6 a portion I can safely say this was the best fish and chip meal I have had EVER anywhere!

This fish was fresh succulent and cooked to perfection with the crispiest batter coating and the chips too were the mutts, not over oily, beautiful tasting, piping hot and a lovely golden colour.  The restaurant and kitchen was clean as whistle and courteous yet friendly staff made the rather stark and overspacious restaurant seem cozy enough.

Of course I didn't go on such a treat for my own benefit, oh no!  Just that I know my mate Ed is coming over in Sept and I want to make sure he gets the best of British when he's here.

After blowing out like that I'd crashed out within 5 minutes of getting back indoors and have just since arisen.  Fortified and one happy bunny!

Damn it Jonbouy, you made me hungry.

Just had cod and chips from the local chippy for tea tonight - your fault JB, I hope you can shoulder the responsibility

I thought it was strange that when this chippy was opened a few years back by an old mate of mine called Pete 'The Greek' (why do all Greek guys automatically have 'The Greek' added to their christian names?) he decided to call it Pete's Place instead of the usual punned version, i.e. Pete's Plaice.

When I asked him about this he told me that everybody asks him the same question - his reasoning being that while his chip shop is being discussed, that's some great free advertising!  Clever

If I had one I'd call it The Bouy's Cod Piece.

I think that would spark some conversation among the locals.

I even have the perfect advertising image for you JB.

Our very own Marcos69 has, by some considerable margin, the most impressive cod-piece I've ever seen...
