Glen, yeah, they're sure good, aren't they?  She made a CD in a REAL studio a couple years ago and it's breath-taking.

Thanks RS:  Taylor's happy with it now (after I raise the volume a bit), so I think I'll leave it for now...at least until I get better at editing.

GP:  OIC...you actually cut that sibilant out?  I never thought of that...I just used the fade ins and outs.  I may try that.

Glad you like it, Tim.  :)  It's hard to screw up people that sing and play as well as they do!

Thanks Bobby.  Yeah, they're quite good.  I'm still using Studio 8.5.  I bought Producer on Black Friday but it will take awhile to find my way around it.

Sounds very nice Janet.  You've got great advice already here.  On something like this I would put on a lush reverb - like a cavernous impulse in perfect space.  That's a judgment call of course.  You've got a nice ambience going already.

Really pretty, I hear this song on WAY FM all the time!

Edit: honestly, it does need more fx. beautiful voice needs more expansion via soundwaves imo.

Thanks Geno.  I never thought of such a big reverb.  I'm sure that would be nice.  I'll keep that in mind for the next song.  :)

Dena, I think this is one of most beautiful songs ever written.  The local station won't play it here for some strange reason. Glad I have my own copy.  :)

Really nice song Janet. Vocals are beautiful. I think I would put just a touch of verb of the vocals and give it a touch of sparkle on the high end. The piano sounds great as always.A touch of strings might not hurt either.

Much better Janet. I think this is a great song and your mixing is definitly improving.

Well done!

I think a little reverb pn the vox would be a nice touch but a very pretty tune.  Other than a little more presence on the vox, no crits.  The piano is beautiful as always.

Thanks James.  I'll go back and add some reverb for sure.  I agree about the strings, but it's their song.  ;)

Thanks Dena!

Thanks Guitarpima.  Unfortunately I think it's improving because I started from knowing absolutely nothing!  lol

Thanks Daryl.  I'll try those things.
