That's the way I run my DAW, only online for a very few special reasons. Registering software being one of them. I trust a few sites, like IK. I got CSR without a demo, but hey, if you want to drive it around the block and kick the tires before you buy it, I would go ahead and do it, if it isn't too much trouble.
