[CWBRN-31338] - Pause button moves Now Time Marker, but it shouldn't

In SONAR Platinum, hitting the Pause button (in the Transport Module) is NOT supposed to move the Now Time Marker -- but for me it does.  (This is with "On Stop, rewind to Now Marker" checked).

The help "Controlling the transport" at http://www.cakewalk.com/D...;help=Playback.07.html says:

Click the Pause button.  Playback stops, but the Now Time cursor and the  Now Time marker do not move.

Bug or user error?

    Hi-

I'm seeing the same behavior here.  I remember some of us requested a "True Pause" years ago and the surrounding confusion and brouhaha, but I've been away from SONAR long enough that I don't know what the upshot was. When I press Pause in Platinum, the Now Marker does in fact move but the icon shows "Pause". I don't know what is meant by "the Now Time cursor and the  [<font]Now Time marker do not move."

Yes, it's a bug. The root of the problem is that the Now Marker is following the Now Cursor all the time in Platinum. It should stay where it is, marking the start of playback/recording, and only jump forward on Stop, not Pause.

X3 had effectively the same problem with Pause. The two markers didn't travel together, but the Now Marker would Jump Forward to the Now Cursor on Pause just as it would on Stop (with "On Stop Rewind" disabled).

    X2 worked correctly.

Opps... Thanks Takuji - your new icon had me going for a moment... Guess I can't talk...

If this is a dupe then this thread needs freezing and the subject title needs to be altered to remove the CWBRN number as per forum guidelines... I shall contact a host.
