Cake, please explain membership timing. (ANSWERED)

If this has been covered I have not seen it, at least not from the Bakers.

I would please like a fuller explanation of membership timing.  For example, if I buy Sonar 2015 at the Cake store, does my 12 month membership start as soon as I pay?  Or when I actually install and register the new version?  What if I buy from a dealer such as JJRshop or Sweatwater?  When they deliver the license, does the 12 month membership start?

If memberships are supposed to start in, (let's say, February), does that mean if there was going to be a 're-up' special next year, wouldn't it have to be in February 2016?  How will that work?

Here's the thing.  I want to get in on the early discounts but I may not actually install it for a while.  For starters, we have the Melodyne issue.  Also, a new version of Duckbar may not happen for a while.  Yes, I can keep using X3 and that may well be what I do...  Of course if I don't install and register, I may miss out on some content!

Not trying to muddy the water but whatever info is available, I'd appreciate some feedback.

Thanks.
