Audio snap 2.0 is a major problem for many, so a tutorial  just like you did  for session drummer 3 would be very much appreciated.

Why make your users go to great lenghts in order to get this on there hard drives ??? 
 
Camel audio has vids like this  ( obviously for the synth they sell , not session drummer !)availible to users who have logged into the site  ..... freely availible for  registered users to download and watch in the best circumstances for them...  Why not do that Cake ?????????????????????

Just be thankful cakewalk have appeared again on this forum and are very active. I don't see any free video on the camel site.

I watched the first 2 or 3 installments in this series and they are excellent.  I want to watch them again with Sonar up and running so that I can experiment with some of the techniques demonstrated in the videos.  Very nice!  I look forward to more of these.

Thanks for the drum master class!! I dropped a lot of cash on this and the V-studio 700 package and the learning curve has been brutal. This has given me a really effective boost over a hurdle I'd been trying to climb for months now... Please keep them coming like this. It will only cement the loyalty of your customers as it brings us more quickly into an effective work flow.

These forums and the new tutorials are the main reason I use SONAR. I do have a Mac and use it for many things, but when it comes to my audio and especially MIDI editing, I boot my Mac into WinXP and run SONAR!

Like others, I would like to commend you for the new videos and also reinforce the idea that it's things such as these high production quality, non-product show demonstration, in depth tutorial videos that will push you up in the minds of DAW shoppers much more so than just describing new features in marketing speak ad content. 

I know if I was in the market for a DAW, I'd like to see a company that has taken the time, and quite frankly re-invested some of the money I paid for the product to create informative tutorial content that will help me get deeper into their product.  So may people use only a fraction of a product simply because they are either unaware of features, or quite frankly afraid of more complex features.  By showing them how to use the key features and the more workflow related ones that will assist them in creating great productions, you are getting users more up to speed and informed.  When a consumer has a greater understanding of your product, they are much more likely to go deeper into your product and as they go deeper, they are more likely to understand the power at their fingertips.

So many people switch DAW programs looking for that one that will be intuitive and have a work-flow that will simply speak to them and allow them to do what they want as easily as possible.  Unfortunately, while almost all commercial DAW packages can do most of the same functions, they all do them in differing ways, and users don't want to have to figure it all out by themselves, so show them how to get great results as easily as possible with video tutorials and you are likely to have less consumers jumping ship to what they think will do it easier.

Just my 2 cents - your mileage may vary.

Keep up the great work with future videos.  Like others a multi-part AudioSnap tutorial would be great - not just a 5 minutes general overview - get in depth and show how-to stuff that people would be able to use to make great music with.

Just finished watching the Master Class videos and found them very helpful. Thanks for posting them ... looking forward to seeing more.

I wonder if it would be advantageous to make them ONLY available to registered users.

Interesting thought . . . on the flip side, would YOU buy a product so that AFTER you bought it, you could see how great it is?!
 
IMHO, not to diss the work of the other CW folks, Seth's videos do more to sell Sonar than practically all the prior "trade show" videos combined (well... ok, except for maybe the live V-Vocal demo).
 
In fact, I'm starting to feel my body shake and shiver... I haven't seen a new Sonar video in.... well... almost two weeks!!  Talk about withdrawal symptoms!  

Hey Brandon- You guys really shot out the lights with this series.  Superb job!  I thought I had at least a working knowledge of SD3 'til I saw the videos, now I'm blocking out time to go back for a 2nd and even 3rd watch I learned so much.
 
Occasionally, I'm called to assist with similar videos for our (my company's) user base, and they are NOT easy to do, and even harder to do well.  And this series was done extremely well.  Kudos to Seth, yourself and whomever else was involved with the production.
 
But, guess what- now you're victims of your own success as the natives grow restless for MORE.  Count me amongst those looking for a similar series on Audio Snap.

Makes the Sonar Producer 8.5 asking price all the more sweet.

Hi. I love the new video series. I don't remember seeing one on file management. I've been using this since it was Sequencer Plus back in the day by Twelve Tone Systems! In any event, I still am not sure of how to make all of the proper choices as to where to file stuff to make the machine the most efficient that it could be. 
I realize that everyone's needs are different, and that the default locations are probably the default because they cover the most scenarios. That being said, maybe a short video on..".you have all of these VI's. Keep the instruments here, keep the sounds here, keep the data here"...that kind of thing. 
I just upgraded to 8.5 about two months ago, and just upgraded from Vista64 to Windows7 a week ago. I have projects all over my laptop all ready. 

I love this program, just need some help getting and keeping organized.
