Cakewalk Account no longer shows Platinum Lifetime

I just went to open Sonar Platinum and was greeted by the following:  "Please log into the command center to check activation status".  When I tried to log into the command center, it would no longer accept my password.  I tried to reset my password and cakewalk sent an email, but the link provided did not lead to where I could change my password.  Then I went to access my account which automatically accepted my computer as it normally does.  Platinum with lifetime updates is no longer listed in "My Products".
Can anyone tell me what is happening here.  Thanks.

Hmmm, the same thing just happened to me. It asked for the password (which it accepted so I didn't go through any password reset). It showed all of my products, but with "Local Documentation" (or something like that, which I can no longer see) needing an update.

I selected it and hit "Update" and it went away. After reading your post, I went back to Command Center and hit the link to go back to the main page and it says "You don't have any products". I mean at all -- the list is completely empty. I closed it and re-opened it and it says the same.

I think someone at Cakewalk had some 'splainin' to do.

EDIT: I can still run my installed Sonar Platinum. When I look at the about box, it states "Sonar Platinum, Membership valid through 12/24/2037 -- Status: Owned"*. It shows the build as 2017.03.

(* = Hmmm, is this Cakewalk telling me that my life ends in 2037?)

Ok, I've found Platinum in "My Products".  It was lower on the list; the 2015 version.  However, I still can't access the command center and the "Activation status" prompt still keeps coming up when I open Sonar.

Speck.  Same thing here, build 2017.03. as it should be.  Maybe Cakewalk can quickly correct.

That did it (the first 'this' link), logging out and logging back in again.

Yeah, that is a bit tense for the first few moments, but glad to know that it's just an expired session.

There is a little bit of additional concern when logging out with the message "Logging out resets some of your preferences and product data". Is this going to happen every time a session expires?

The reply from user "Grim" worked for me. He posted two potential resolutions.

Edit: Sorry, "THE Grim". Must be proper with titles, eh?

It just won't let me change my password and will not recognize the original.  Everything was working fine.  Why all this?  Normally I just put my mouse on the CCC and it opens.  I've got to go to the wal-mart.  Be back later, if anyone  has comments. Thanks.

    Fantini,

I think your main problem is just working out your password reset, not any loss of product.

From your original post: "Platinum with lifetime updates is no longer listed in "My Products"." and then you say something about showing only the version from 2015. I'm guessing that it is simply the date when this latest major revision of Sonar (Platinum) was first released (not counting minor revisions / updates since then).

Mine shows the same "2015" thing under "My Products". But when I click the "Membership Details" link, it shows that I have Platinum with lifetime updates. All of that is on the web site for "My Account Home".

Your password issue is with the Command Center. If your reset password emails are not taking you to anywhere that allows you to change a password, check for browser pop-up blockers, ad-blockers, or anything that might keep you from opening that window (you might see a window briefly appear, then disappear). Also try to right-click on the link in the email and select something like "Copy URL", then you can open a browser tab or window and paste the URL in manually.

If none of that works, you might need to contact Cakewalk Support, but I think this is only blocking you from getting future updates from Command Center, not using the product today (Sonar installed on your computer probably works fine).

Speck.  I think I have it working again.  After I tried the second time to reset my password it would not accept it.  The reason was cakewalk required my original password before it would register the new one.  It would not recognize the old password.  Later, I tried the new password from the email and despite the fact that cakewalk would not register it through the normal process, it worked in the CCC.  There was nothing changed in the CCC, so why I received a prompt stating:  "Please log into the command center to check activation status"  is still a mystery.  Thanks for your help.

3 Hours later.  Maybe I spoke too soon on the last post.  I just opened the CCC and now it states I have no products.

Same thing happened to me. ... fired up SPlat,  had to re-activate, etc.  Of course I had forgotten my password and had to change. The new password got me to my account but was rejected by CCC. So I renewed the password again, and this time got in, and everything seems ok. My account shows my products and lifetime membership. Just a hiccup in the system, I hope.

ccc allowed me to log in on second attempt and everything seems to be in place, and no longer get the check activation toast when starting platinum
