Cakewalk Support???
I reported a possible bug regarding the snap settings in X3c. I also had a few other users confirm that they also experienced the same problem. The problem report response was that I should contact support for further help. That was about two weeks ago. All I've had is an automated response but nothing else. This can't be normal that it takes this long to respond?? Anyone else had to wait this long?

I've waited MUCH longer but I'm not going to mention the length for their sake (I'm still waiting for their initial reply to a couple of my tickets). My impression is that they are sadly understaffed and are working very hard while their ticket system is not perfect. Unless the bug is obvious, I recommend posting the issue here first and obtain other forum members' confirmation, then paste the link to the thread in the report and submit it.

It is hard for me to report my bugs since x1...till now with x3c...cause I cannot use my internet on that system...turning on the onboard nic or any other internet method...causes issues with my audio desk drivers and win 7 64 ultamate..I believe was in stalled on that build. So when they happen in the software, and a reporter window opens to send, I cannot do it. Nic card is disabled in bios and its driver uninstalled....according to my audio solution tech tip advise. So imagine for a moment my woes being here asking but never getting...results. So I turn on my nic to do them services here to post up my problem sspecky reports asked for, and other info they ask for here, months ago for x1...And chaos with my system begins to take seed. with that driver on or disabled...upgrade to x2...more issues arise ....x2a...still issues...so I tweaked my system with Black Vipers methods a bit....not all of them, and these methods are old ones from when win 7 was just released service pack 1 was also. I got some work done with a stable system, but already corrupted. Crashing, dumping win win 7 and c drive, hanging of the os, and corruption of Projects now with x3c...and corruption of win 7...to have to install win 7 professional...less bloat ware in it. Still with all that done...a clean install with nic ...to post up event viewer info and step through the install of x3c...installing the audio desk driver, and mayham occurs again. the internet nic has to be turned off...and driver has to be removed....but that does not stop the bugs in sonar...! So I hope you all get the help you need...I hope! When You do, I will gleen your posts!...and work it out here...if need be. Keep razzing them I say! Good luck!

Sir Les, Sounds like you have some serious issues going on in your system! Could be drivers, hardware incompatibility etc. Sorry to hear about it - I know these things are very frustrating to work out. The problem PJH is referencing is however different (I am one of the others who reported it). There is a "snap to clips" issue that PJH identified and myself and another verified and discussed on this forum. This is clearly a bug, consistent and repeatable by three different users on different projects using different systems. My online reporting of the problem resulted in the generic response "this is a system configuration issue" (or something to that effect). This is clearly *not* an accurate response. I have not yet tried calling CW but plan to do so this week to see if I can talk to someone. But given I provided a detailed problem report linking to the thread with even more detail I am disappointed with CW's response so far.

This is the Cakewalk problem reporter form where we report bugs: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx When you created the report you will have ticked: "I understand that filling out this form will not put me in contact with Technical Support" This is pretty standard procedure. Often they might take several months to get back to you to check this (no different really from any other software house). You have to be patient. BTW over the last few days I've created several bug reports and I haven't even got email an confirmation (yes I checked my spam folder), so you are lucky to get confirmation messages. Should you have done all this - You didn't paste your case numbers/bug report numbers. If you were told to contact technical support via a problem report form notification please paste the message here. Normally you leave it with the problem reporter unless advised otherwise. Cheers
