Thanks guys I do enjoy talking about it. For those who are interested here is a list of the libraries I have chosen based on the other synths I am using and how Alchemy tends to be used within my music. I am currently running with Alchemy:
Factory sounds/Player also
Taste of Camel (Great all rounder and introduces 5 sounds from every library)
Bioloabs Dark Space (some deep and complex dark patches)
Guitar Mutations (very ccol sounds based on guitar raw materials)
Steamworx (very cool single shots plus interesting grooves, inspiring)
Arp Dimensions (great arps form arp driven music, millions of options)
Cinematic Atmospheres (I am a sucker for ambient pads and this has some beauties!)
Cinematic Impacts (big booms and bangs and things. Very handy for finishing off phrases)
Planet Earth (Great all round beauty)
As mentioned Alchemy forms part of a team for me and it sits well with everything else I use here. Lately it is inspiring me as the starting point for musical ideas. I have over 1200 presets in all which is a lot and when you take into account the Mix Pads and editing anything well the sky is the limit really.
I am happy to re audition any libraries and post up some results if there are people out there who want to know more before buying.
Make sure you are using the Browser correctly. I discovered early on I was not seeing all the presets from each library. Nearly all but some were hidden due to the way I had some of things selected that were showing up or becoming visable. It is important you can see and hear every single available preset.
