Can't install X2 - no file types - NEED STAFF HELP HERE!

I downloaded the X2 files today, all of them. There is a file named: 01_Read_This_First.  I try to open it and i get prompted to select a program to use. I tried a txt file and that was obviously wrong.  I saw another post wich says to rename with a ".exe" extention, did that and i get a weird message saying the disk is corrupt.   ANy help on this?  ALso the file named "00_SONAR_X2_Installation_Instructions_Link" just has a link. I went to the link and did not see any "instructions to install" only instructions to download.  please help

Let me guess, it was downloaded with IE and the .exe suffix isn't on the end of the files as reported on several other threads already.

Thanks! Got it.  Need to add ".exe" to each of the 01_ 02_ and 03_ prefixed files

Yes, it's an IE issue.  I have to think there's a better way that avoids all the browser anomalies...
