Changing Banks in Z3TA-2.1 with Sonar X2a

Does anyone know how to change banks (arp, keyboards, sequences, percussions, etc.) using Sonar?  When I change banks in the track view, Z3TA doesn't follow them, it follows patch changes correctly, but not banks.
User manual mentions nothing about integrating with DAW.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks!  Control 32 does the trick.  Very strange that the bank change parameter in the track view of Sonar X2 doesn't just switch banks...

Glad to help. Hopefully you can sort out the stability problem. I have no idea what could be going on there, z3ta+2 is stable on my 64bit X2a.

Well, control 32 doesn't seem to work completely.  It works if I start a sequence at the m-b-t where the control 32 change is, it will change banks.  But if I run the sequence from the beginning and have control 32 change, say, on bar 3, it doesn't change it.

All soft synths behave differently.  I think the way I'll end up using Z3TA-2 is having one patch per instance, and place the patches I want to use in a user folder.  Unless I can get the bank thing working right, that's probably the most practical way to go.

And yet it works flawlessly with a direct connection between a MIDI controller and the z3ta+2 Microhost.  Bank select using CC32 [LSB] + Program Change number.  I'd all but given up on bank changes within Sonar with capable synths, but I need to look into this again.  This has been going on at least 4 major versions now.

It seems that even recorded bank/program changes from an external KB revert to Normal* in the Event List.  (What is that asterisk disclaimer, anyway?).  Changing the event to another bank mode presents that dreaded 0 - Bank 0 dead end.  Oh.  Now this is encouraging.  I just fired off about 4-5 bank/program changes in as many measures, and got a crash dump.  Submitted, FWIW.

An interesting answer surfaced here: "If you're wondering why your MIDI keyboard can't change the banks of your VSTs in SONAR"  http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2918710
