Concrete Limiter update [Available as a separate purchase]

We updated the Concrete Limiter today so it now works on Command Center and we have also resolved a known issue for some customers where the output of the limiter would be silent after saving and reloading a project.

Go to your Command Center to get the update.

Re: Concrete Limiter update 2015/09/24 15:47:20 (permalink)
Works great- but there is some weird behavior: I have one instance on a bass channel (audio) and a second instance on the 'master channel'. The bass instance has the "bass enhancement" button in the "off" (o) position. The master instance has it in the "on" position (i) . Everything seems to be working fine.

The problem: when I try rendering the project (export as MP3), the "bass enhancement" buttons switch positions!!!!! Pretty weird - and have not had time to determine whether it affects audio (the exported Mp3) or not.

Hey Irvin,

I haven't heard of this issue and gave it a try myself and don't see the button changing positions for me. This an existing project that already contained the Concrete Limiter? Could you try removing both instances and re-adding it and then doing another bounce?

I tried the bass expansion swap thing and have a theory on what you saw, since it almost fooled me.

The track inspector will switch what ProChannel strip it's showing based on the track selection focus.  After I rendered, the Master bus's ProChannel took the place of the audio track's ProChannel in the inspector. And like magic the Bass switch looked like it turned on, but my two strips had other differences which made me realize that the Inspector wasn't looking at my audio track anymore, but it was subtle and easy to miss.  Selecting each track showed the settings hadn't changed.

Sorry for the late reply. Will get back to the project tomorrow and will try your suggestion  and post my results. I'll say this: strangely enough, the buttons do go back to the original positions once the export is finished....

Scroll down to see it - also, you may have to go into the settings and tell it to check Now to pick it up.  It is showing up there for me, and I went ahead and installed it again, this time through the CCC.

For me it was way down the list and was shown in red, as not installed. That made it a bit hard to see.

Nope, don't see it. I'm assuming it must be because of the way I purchased it, on special ?

Wonder if anyone else who originally acquired it this way can't see it in Command center as well ?

I see the update for Ipswitch to a newer version. I do not have the Concrete Limiter in my connected products or the other products section in the cakewalk store.  It used to be listed under the other products not it's gone completely. Do I need to post this in the Online Store Forum?

I have owned the Concrete limiter for several years. Luckily I have all my installers and license information backed up.

Found your orders guys and placed new copies in your account. The serial numbers are new. Authorization through C3 is automatic but they're also referenced in your account if you want to write codes down to do manual authorization without C3.

Unfortunately I'm not locating any reference of a purchase. Did you perhaps purchase it with a different email address then the one assigned to your pfossi account? If you can send me over private message any alternate email addresses you may have used in the past, or even better if you have your serial number handy, I can try to track it down.

For anyone following along,

I do want to mention that the ProChannel Concrete Limiter is not automatically included as part of SONAR Platinum. It's a separate purchase. If you purchased it in the past but it's not automatically showing up in your Cakewalk SSO account, give this link a read: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Please-Read-How-to-restore-any-missing-products-your-Cakewalk-SSO-Account-m3148924.aspx

If something is definitely out of whack, give our Customer Support team a call or send an email. Official contact details here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Contact .  They can definitely sort out any missing products.
