"Talk to your doctor" (I had hoped for that signature!!!)

Drums: Metal ... profound!  (tho'd I'd have craved more kick umph in sections)
Rhythm Guitars: Squashed and washed to perfection
Vox: Hovering and a tad low, slightly tunneled (which I personally love).  I see you judiciously chose to let him 'drift' away instead of howling "Help me!!!!" in the Alice Cooper way.

2nd Listen:

Some personal thoughts: Dynamics are excellent to my ears, middle guitar is perfect.

My impressions are the same: Vox is sitting deeply, like he's an instrument ... which makes his message non-dominant and more arbitrary.  That of course risks invoking that the human condition is an 'arbitrary' existence.  I know he gets the Pre-Chorus and Chorus, but I'd have supposed he could be a bit louder there (or clearer with more 2-4kHz gain) for some 'redemptive' significance.  (I mean my ears really do incline to know his words)

The whole passion play dominates as one (holistic) non-egotistical painting; no instrument gets egotistical attention, including the vox.  Just the middle guitar has his gentle Solo.

IOWS, this is 'awesome' and profound metal ... I wish all metal were like this!

OK Bapu and Strummy I'm here now,  so please can I have my dog back ?! ;)

Musicianship 10/10
Production    10/10
Brick in the wall bit 10/10

Song overall............

See now here's the thing - the only bit I can actually remember after several listens is the "brick in the wall" bit and I seem to remember that being done before. Yeah, I get that it's a joke, but it kind of sums up what I usually think about CHB tracks - no doubting the quality and musicianship, make no mistake that I consider you guys to be way above any of my humble efforts in that respect, but....once it stops it's kind of gone already if that makes sense.  Prolly just me, it's not really genre tbh,  but I always find myself waiting for the hook and it's not really there.

OK, so not exactly a glowing reference I guess, but you did ask, and you did kidnap my dog.

WOW, on your 'Bridge (Asylum) it really knocked me back.  My recent heart bypass required morphine for the pain (open heart) and I had a bad reaction.  Your lyrics are so close to what I was feeling that I couldn't listen at first.  SERIOUSLY!  Too bad, morphine used to work.  I went almost 24 hours after surgery with no pain meds because I refused toigo back to that place in my mind.  Since it is such a massive surgery, they eventually insisted and found something else that worked.  SEE WHAT YOU DID TO ME THIS MORNING!!!  Ha.  After listening I would say that it's quite obvious that the countdown expired a while ago.  You're all insane!  Nice job!

The Beefhart comparison certainly was meant as a compliment.

This was a wild listen folks.
Drums were outstanding.
All othe other performances were up to the task as well.
This had to be hell to make with no one in the same place at the same time.
Hats off!

Love it. Lyrics are great it's got that Metallica sort of sound to me, especially the way the vocals are. When's the tour start and where do I get tickets?

@ Daryl - Thanks again for the compliment

@Beagle - who's a good boy, you're a good boy

@Thatsastrat - We (The CHB) have pretty much got this collab thing down. The time difference seems to not matter much. I am quite proud of how the drums turned out. They are Bluenoise's Metal 1 with a layered Toontrack Kick and snare. My son and Alex helped me to really make the whole kit come together.

@Karl - Thanks for the compliment. You wanna roadie?

No this is the right place. It's actually the music we all make.

Some would say the other place is not the right place.
