Day Slo Down, Redone w/ guitar solo, Mix, Master
EDIT. This little diddy went through a complete overhaul. It was re-produced and mixed by Mike Meengs, he definitely outdid himself. I also had it mastered by a true pro. I challenged myself to a little guitar shredding because I know you guys love them guitars. We have a little video that we are planning to make for it soon as well, should be fun. http://db.tt/cNgFJpD This is my son, he's 9, I get him on weekends. Me and him playing around in the studio a couple hours back on Fathers day. Thought it was a cool way to spend Father's day. I hope you enjoy!

You Too James, yeah we had a blast. Spent most of the time bangin the beats out on the keyboard, he insisted on the knight rider sounds, and had to play em lol.

Cody, nice job with this song. I like the melody you used for your vocal. The drums sound very cool and fit this song just right. The best thing about this is that you got your dad back in the studio and making some music. I really miss him around here. Ed, Don't be a stranger my friend. Great to see youi're still around. Randy

Hey, Ed, It's really great to see you around the forum, buddy! You and Cody have a really cool modern pop song here, and Will Smith has got nothing on you guys! Cody did a fantastic job on the vocals and that's some really slick synth and production work you have going on. It sounds like you two had a great time on Father's Day, really nice work! Bob

Hey Bert, thanks bud, good to see ya Randy, I'll give Co your message.) Just finished the studio in my house, only took me 2 years lol, So hopefully I'll have some more tracks out soon. The past year I've been workin 50 hours a week payin bills and building this studio. It's the real deal now though, was worth the wait, fully treated, absorbers, diffusors, mixing desk, great monitors, Neve preamps, a few hardware comps, (distressor, 1176 etc), couple good condensers, and the ol standby's sm7b, sm57. Oh ya, finally got my dream guitar a couple months ago too 2003 Gibson LP. I even learned to solder my own cables lol. I wouldn't say you have to have all that stuff to make good sounds but man it sure is alot easier now and I can focus on crafting great songs instead of tweaking plugins for hours to get the sounds I want. I have some samples in the works, I'll send ya some for some feedback when I wrap em up.) Vincente, Thanks alot bud Bob, good to see your still rockin out man! Yeah we had a great time. Doing a collab with a 9 year old is great cause they hold nothing back. They will tell you like it is lol. Thanks man.

Whoa, man, you must have had a blast doing this with your son. What a great way to spend the day. And what came out is a genuinelly interesting and well put together tune and track. I hear some really creative FX and processing in there, nice breaks and a marvellous job by your son on the vocals (interesting V-Vocal work there... not so easy to do). A fun and enjoyable listen for me.

Alkie, Thanks man. Both my regular camera and my phone both took a dump on me this year but I'll borrow one soon and toss some photos up. Yeah, nothing impedes a studio build like a wife, luckily I don't have one of those. Philz, Thanks bud. Usually Father's days come and go with very little to remember them by but this one was pleasantly different. I have a pretty decent room now so it makes mixing much easier but I'm still not up there with the big boys, it's definitely an art in and of itself. We have a remix with some modifications comin soon though so I'll post that when it's finished. Thanks again for nice comments. Hey Janet, thanks alot! Always a pleasure to hear from you! Hey Larry What up bud, Yeah, he's a little playa, luckily I have a few more years before teen hell..) Rick, Thanks man! I love that term, sound photo.) I'm hoping to have a new mix version up soon, getting someone better than me to take a crack at it. We added some more to it as well. Thanks again all, hope to be around a bit more in the future
