Probably 'cause there's still too many bugs in X1b246 to release it as a demo. then even more people would know what all the fuss was about.
I'm actually just allowing my cynicism to take over. I figured the winking smilie would be a clue that I wasn't being overly serious with the above comment.
I'm sorry to say that the only fun I get out of SONAR X1 is playing with panu's mods and benstat's skin Editor for a bit of entertainment when I have the time. I marvel at what they've been able to do with the program; and they don't even have access to the source code, they're just using elements that are exposed to the user.
My only connection to Cakewalk now is SONAR 8.5.3.
It's been a good while since there's been a valid demo for SONAR. I think SONAR 8.0 was it.
