I think he did apologize.  Due to "features" in the forum software, however, the message was a little garbled.  I wasn't aware he was a Nigerian prince.  He said to tell you that he needs you to wire some money to an account in the Cayman Islands in order to receive the rest of the apology.

did you provide him with your bank account numbers, SSN and Power of Attorney?

Well, I thought I did. I better send it again just to be sure.

Perhaps Cakewalk should ditch the wrapper workaround and upgrade their SDK to VST3.5 instead of using some kind of weird wrapper technology for museum standard VST2 (and FX Teleport as "Bitbridge")... much work under the hood needs to be done, good luck CW!
+1, though i fear that'd be a lot of changes, maybe a kludge too far: look what "upgrading" the gui just did were they to fiddle with the innermost secrets of the ancient codebase who knows what unearthly powers might be unleashed?

Correct.. but they be able to sell the good ol´clunky codebase beneath once again to the customers. The GUI is nice, but it´s like make up for and old donkey and taking it out for prom night, hoping no one will notice.

X2 should feature:
Improved GUI with more customization options
Gapless audio engine
VST3.5 (wrapper free)
Pro Channel as VST3 x64 plugin
"VariAudio" type functionality
Usable Notation
Better video engine for scoring
+ Nevercrashagain(TM) moneyback guarantee

if anything of the above is missing X1 was my last upgrade.

Seriously? That last one alone should indicate your predestined choice. No software vendor can make that claim.

Umm ok I´m satisfied if the box says "Now with 93% less crashes". :) That would bring it down to one crash per month or so which is comparable to the "next leading brands"
