This is  not new to X1 but it's annoying regardless.

Sonar seems to have a mind of its own as to "where" a plugin's GUI gets displayed.

I have a dual monitor setup.    If I bring up a synth plugin GUI (via any means available), it is totally random as to where it shows up.

Sometimes on the 2nd monitor.  Sometimes on the primary.  Sometimes somewhere in the middle.   No rhyme or reason.

Even if I move the GUI to where I want it, close it, and reopen it, 3 out of 5 times it will become a random placement again.

Does anyone have any idea how to stop that?

Thanks.
x64?
The reason I ask is it seems that for me all my 64 bit plugins open for me in my right screen (over my track view) where I last opened/closed them. My Bitbridge plugins - Jamstix 3, Sampletank etc always open in my left screen (over the multidock) even if I drag them over to the right display before I close them. Seems to be Bitbridge related. JBridge plugins seem to behave like the rest of my 64 bits plugs - they open wherever I last closed them.

There is a utility for dual or multi monitors that allow you to allocate where you want your applications to appear on your monitors.  The program is called Ultramon and can be found at http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

Peace.

Jesse, I actually used to use Ultramon but a lot of the newer video cards utilities come with similar functionality.

However, Ultramon, in this case, wouldn't solve this problem anyway.
