Does this happen to you?
I save my project with the browser docked on the left, but closed. My ProChannel is docked on the right and open. I close Sonar and reopen it. The browser is now open, and I then have to close it because I need the real estate. Shouldn't it stay closed if I save it closed? Is this common or a small bug? Thanks for all replies. p.s.- I forgot to say that I have the current version of Splat.

I save mine with the ProChannel and browser on opposite sides to what you've described, but I have the same results. I always have to close the browser after opening the project.

... and not having the Synth view there without going and getting it first is a new feature.... not a bug.

Yes that happens here too. I save and close Sonar with the browser closed, but it always opens itself when I reopen the project.

Solution 1- Lens saves Global project settings. so if you created or saved a Lens' by accident in 1 project with the browser a certain way, it will stay like that from project to project. Solution 2- Is there a locked screenset ? check to see if you locked a screenset by accident.

Thanks for the suggestions, Chuck. It didn't help me this time because I'm not using a lens nor have a locked screenset. That may help someone else, though.

Try locking the screenset before saving Lynn.

Thanks, Bruce, I did just that. The point is; I never had to do this before the last update, and I was curious if it was just me or more common. Perhaps I should file a problem report?

You are quite right Lynn - if the screenset is unlocked it should save the window positions. There have been a couple of window anomalies since the introduction of lenses so it is probably worth a report and a post in the problems forum.

have you ever tried Lens' ? if you have it might be using a preset accidentally. just make sure it is set to "None". Sorry Lynn, wish I could be more help man.
