Download Speeds Suck

I'm running a hi-speed cable connection. For the past several months, every time I download updates via the Command Center, the files trickle down ever so slowly. Doesn't seem to matter what time, it's really slow. My gripe for the week.

Sonar Platinum / AMD 5 ghz 8-core CPU w/8 GB RAM / nVidia GTX-780 graphics / Roland A-500Pro MIDI keyboard / Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 interface / Komplete 9 Ultimate / Melodyne Essential / Digitech Vocalist Live Pro/ Roland MSGS synth module / Rode NT2 microphone / an understanding wife

    I've seen the "trickle effect" maybe 2-3 times of all of the downloads I've done using CCC, while every other time it's been fairly quick.   During those few times though, I could watch the download increase in 10th's of a percent.   So I'd close CCC (X at upper right, not logging out) then restart.   And every time that seemed to help.   No explanation that I can offer, just what I've experienced.
