Jonbouy I learned to play the Beatles "All my loving" on one of these. It sounds superb on one you'd almost think it was written for it because the chords and runs just fall naturally on it. It was my party piece for years. I gave it up because I couldn't be arsed to tune it all the time. cool - what is it called? Don't say Sharon or Brenda or something - that's the sort of smartarse and unfunny thing I would say. It's not big and it's not clever.

Daryl it's a chord zither, or guitar zither.

Yes Ed, I think they are all related. Harpisichord > Autoharp > Chord Zither.

I tune my Bowed Psaltery once every few years whether it needs it or not. The 1:1 tuners make it very difficult.

Meh with your paltry zithers and such I got to play a CIMBALON.We were trying to put a Hungarian band together but this puppy is a challenge to play, you use mallets. The upside is you dont need varispeed, because you usually play with string instruments, violin, double bass, and those cats only have FOUR strings to tune (or in the case of a famous bass player here, ONE string) It also is a biotch to haul to the gigs, you need a roady and a carpenter.
