Janet

Thank you, Bob.

Herb, I hear where you're coming from. But to me, this is a guitar solo.  I'm just trying to complement what he's done.  Yes, I probably overdid it, but if anything, I'dcut out more piano notes before I'd cut out any guitar.  Just my opinion, obviously, but I think it can be done well.  We'll see. :)

OK.... I'll be quiet and set down...

Rik, Janet I am with Herb on this I agree the piano should be given a little more presence.  Ride that fader in the mix so the guitar ebbs and flows with the movement of the piece.

This mix is much more open and I do like the tune.

Have you played with reverb panning??? i.e. Pan reverb on the guitar to the left and the piano to the right.

Hi John, thanks for listening again. Panning the reverb to the opposite side is what I did in previous mixes, not the last one. As for the piano versus guitar thing, I like the way it is now. The piano compliments the guitar wonderfully, take the guitar away and it doesn't sound right and the guitar on it self isn't as nice as with the piano.

Herb, I'm not saying I'm necessarily right.  It's just how I'm approaching it.  But I'm learning. :) Hopefully.

Thanks John.  I think Rik and I both hope that ultimately more than just four of us like this, but we'll see.  :)

My only crit is the piano could use more bass response. It sounds more like a spinnet than a grand.

Very nice all around.  Maybe bring the piano and strings a little closer to center.    Very pretty.

Hi Janet and Rik,

As usual, I missed the first mix but this sounds just beautiful. No mix crits here because it sounds just fine to me and I...ummm, don't really know what I'm talkin' about, anyway  You two are a great team!

Thanks Daryl!

Thanks Gary.  We don't know what we're talkin' about either.  So glad you like it.  We'll try to do even better on the next one. :)
