I have not listened to this song over the last few days, simply because each time I get to it, my ear has been primed by very different music and I find it difficult to switch modes so to speak. Today, I heard the song by Mark with Rich and Scotty first and am now primed somewhat closer to the right direction . The vocals sound much more natural in this than some other efforts Frank, and I like that. Mix is really good. I love the vocal delivery in this song. It has feeling. Awesome work Frank.

Nice one Frank sound good here but I get the impression this is going to get a few tweaks from you comments above.

Nice stuff as always with some cool playing and heart felt vocal.

Thanks for sharing

Yeah, I'm still Tweaking... various timing issues... Thanks big time for the feedback Wookiee...

Tap

Great stuff... Suggestions ...  bring the Organ up a tiny notch and yeah perhaps some soft rim shots or subtle high hat to keep the beat going during the quiet times and add a tambourine as you build the beat up.  Either way its still a very fine tune and the playing and production are great.  Nice work!

Thanks Tap... great suggestions...

I like the stories you tell Frank. Well done!

The song sounds like: I don't know the name. "if you don't know me by now, you will never???"

Other than that, it has a Procol Harum vibe.

You wrote a really nice song.  I like when the drums really kick in with the bgv.  You really got up there with the vocal.  Very well done, buddy!  Are those bgv real or memorex?  :-)

Wait a minute? I just listened again and don't get my wrong, I stand by my previous comment... But this version, you yanked the BGV? I thought they were excellent? Even though they were tuned yes? The LV is very soulful, and carries the song. But why yank the BGV? They part was well conceived? It was great? Maybe bleed them in and go full Monty toward the end? Hell, I'll sing um for you!?

And I noticed, you have 76 songs on your soundclick page right now; and I have 77 on my reverbnation page! Get busy boy! :-)

I could hear Ray Charles singing this...   A little more Leslie speed, I would dig, but this is very nice Frank.   I thought it could be a couple of bpm faster but that's no crit, just me.  I liked it a bunch, very compelling.

Frank,

This is a great song....your vocals are outstanding.   Needs some more guitar, maybe just some little fills here and there...  At the end of the day, there are a million ways to arrange a really good song so you have a lot of options including leaving as is;)   Great post......

Hey, Frank,

I missed the first mix, but the song is tremendous, and your vocals are out of this world!

The mix sounds outstanding, and is totally pro sounding, and I really love the sound of that B3.  If this were my song, I wouldn't touch a thing!

Phenomenal job, my friend!

He's seasoned alright. I'd like to eat his liver with some Chianti and fava beans. Of course I mean that in a good way? Not in the Hannibal the Cannibal sick twisted psychopathic way? It's just down home Southern cooking.
