WOW!! Now that was just awesome Frank and what singing from the heart. I'm thinking that the piano could go down just a tad and the synth come up just and tad. That's just my opinion, as you know what you are looking for. Regardless, this is a beautiful song and I enjoyed it just as it is. Vey nicely composed, crisp and clear for sure.

    Peace and Blessings, John

Absolutely great song!!!!!!!! Can't say enough good things about this!!

Just a slight suggestion, maybe a little bit of drum high hat click sounds at times and some building crash cymbals in parts.

Send me a mp3 mixdown take and even though I ain't no drummer I would be more than happy to show you what I am talking about.

LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!! PERFECT!!!!! just no cymbals............

    FREAKING AWeSOME!!!

Mister Notnat, you were born to do this sir. It gives me an Elton John vibe at the beginning because of the piano, and the way it's being played (which is well...)

I've spent a lot of time chasing the dollar? But it's usually been tucked in to an undergarment... And technically she wasn't a child? But close?

You work with some talented people down there in LA. People have tried to get me to perform live with them and I always say no, if it was an opportunity to perform with you? I would jump at it. You are just really ****ing good IMO.

An instant classic for sure. Ranks up there with "long as I can see the light" This one I'm going to have to hear s'more for sure.

Loved the new additions! Bass is perfect. If it were me, I might not stop the drums completely, or at least not as long as you did, but use a snare rim click rather than the full snare which comes in later. Other than that, sounds pretty good to me.

When I saw this I thought back to "Give me a chance" that I co-wrote with Pat Bishop, Because that was the original title we were writing to...The Eyes of a Child..... we changed it at her suggestion and finished the song.

Nice feel to this, kinda like an old time gospel tune. It needs the B3 floating behind the piano to be a bit more prominent in a few places.

    Nice job on writing.

Great stuff... Suggestions ...  bring the Organ up a tiny notch and yeah perhaps some soft rim shots or subtle high hat to keep the beat going during the quiet times and add a tambourine as you build the beat up.  Either way its still a very fine tune and the playing and production are great.  Nice work!

    tanton-
nice tune, got a bluesy classic arrangment feel..
i'd be interested to hear another version with the female vocals, even tho this one is fine...

agree with comments about the organ, it needs to be louder....
and would love to hear some harmony on the lines 'the eyes of a child'

    not enough guitar.
    LOL
i could fix that for you.....

Frank, I'm on the road with my laptop and a new set of Sennheiser earplugs that I'm not used to yet, but given that caveat, the mix sounded great.

But in my mind the mix here takes a back seat to what is one gem of a song.  That is a poignant, timeless and touching theme, and you really brought it to life.  So, as one songwriter to another, I congratulate you on a really well crafted song.

The performances, of course were spot on, as always.  You and your guys are just great.
