I'm going to buy it so that I can have a nice studio like CJ.

You didn't beta test it?

Haven't seen this one yet.  They don't always run it by the beta testers when it's a preset pack.  Not much to test, really.  Either they work or not or you like them or not.  Remember who the target market is.  They're never going to hire a mastering engineer anyway.

Will someone buy it and see if it does anything enjoyable?  Remember who the target market is.  They're never going to hire a mastering engineer anyway.
In EZmix's defense, I was doing a rough mix at the end of a session as a "take home mix" and I used EZmix to audition some presets for a Rap artist.  As I was going through the presets to see what kind of approach he liked, we hit one and he loved it.  Asked me to use it on all tracks (his lead vocal) when we mixed the EP.  He says that up until now he never liked the sound of his voice but he was really happy with what we (EZmix and some other Mod Bod tweaks) did.

I'm going to get another client from this project as well as more work from another guy. So, EZmix has done me some good.

The Mastering Presets took me by surprise.

Sometimes EZMix gets where I want to be at the elemental level (i.e. maybe for guitar or live drum overheads). And sometimes they are only good enough to tell me what I really need to do.

So for me they are value add but it's not like I rely or live for them. Still not sure I'll get his one. $50 will buy two trips for Mexican dinners for The Lovely Lady and I at our favorite place.

I would stay away. The demo mixes are USELESS. Why? As stated in in articles and the mastering video from Groove 3 using IK's T-Racks mastering software, Your ears will trick you into thinking the louder one is better just because it's louder.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

See that's what I would've have thought too. But, how do you not conclude that louder is better if the very nature of true mastering is take a mix  (usually required to be somewhere between -12db to -3db, depending on the ME) and among other things make it louder?

It takes a long time to recognize when it's better when you bring the volume up and when it's not. It may be that the program is really good though. It's hard to tell since your ears will think it's better by the examples though. I would rather read reviews from people at the top of the field though. There is the demo to try.

Imagine this thought experiment: choose two of your own best-mastered songs. Maybe you used Ozone or Pro-L or Elephant on them, and perhaps a bus compressor, multiband or EQ.

Load one of those songs and save all its master-bus effects chain settings as presets.

Now bring up the other song and load all those presets into its master bus chain. Export and compare your newly-remastered second song against an earlier version.

What are the odds it got better

Presets are for synthesizers and car radios.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
