In a rare disagreement with Warren   I liked the first one, it seemed a little jazzier (that's a technical term right?).

Either way, you sound smokin'!

Yazza, right in the groove.  I think I liked the second opne best.  I'll have to listen again.  That walking upright is great.  Real or Memorex?  Is this a canned track you play to?  You really have this genre in your pocket, buddy!

Hi Warren , all the students in the course were given a choice to play over the track that fit their style / instrument best
keyboard players generally played over the track that didn't have the keys already on it ...
I chose to play with the track that has keyboards .....it freed me up a little bit .
the players on the backing track are very good players , for the recording I did enjoy playing along with them
Thank you for giving this a listen , I'm happy you liked a version of my playing on the playing demo

Hi Daryl ,

I've gotten mixed reactions every place other than the class I've posted this ...all two forums

I'm with you I prefer the first one myself ...as a player ...rough spots and all

on that version of F Blues ,
I was aiming for progressively improvising more outside thematic melodic themes on my guitar for each passing chorus .....

the second version of F Blues I posted here and elsewhere as a courtesy ....

I felt most listeners would probably find my second version with the "less intense style of improvised melodies" to be easier to chill out and listen to .

imho ...both approaches seem to have their pluses and minuses .

thank you for listening and commenting Daryl

Nice riffage. I like motif based soloing and especially ones that develop well.

Well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
