*FIXED - user mistake* TTSLame.dll is missing

Hey all,
Wanted to fire up Sonar today. It's been a while and I don't remember what I might have changed in the past.  But anyway, when I fire up sonar X3 ( I think I have applied the very latest update ) I'm getting the following error

The program can't start because TTSlame.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

Not sure what i would have changed exactly that would cause this. I've done a little digging on the internet for info but the what I've seen has me a bit apprehensive to download and install it separately.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You can copy the file from any version of SONAR that you have.

Are you starting Sonar from some other location than its default?

Is TTSLame.dll in the same folder as SONARPDR?  (it should be)

The default location for SONARPDR is: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X3 Producer, and TTSLame.dll should be located in the same folder.

That is the correct path for TTSlame.dll. If you see it there and X3 does not run, it may be bad.

Hi there scook, I just grabbed the latest at the link you provided, put it in the same location C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X3 Producer and am still getting the same error.

After copying the new tslame.dll into the proper folder, i rebooted the computer just as a trial and error... no change, still no go.

There is something else going on. You might need to do a clean re-install of X3.

3.99 is the latest version of Lame. Not 3.98.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

That is true, I made no claim it was the latest version, just a newer version.

Eh, I figured out what the issue was. I had created a copy of the icon onto the desktop. I though I had created a link back to the original exe, but what I had done is create a copy of the exe.  So when it was trying to run, it was running from the desktop, rather than it's normal program directory.  So, created a proper "link" to the exe onto the desktop, now all is working like I wanted.

I've only been a software engineer for 18 years, you'd think I'd know better.
