Speaking of Waves.....can someone give me a quick tutorial on iLok - how does that work? Do we first purchase the ilok from a serperate company / website, and then once we have it at home, then we can download to hearts desire, plug ins that require it. Is it limited to how many plugs can be installed, and then a new fee for so many more, or unlimited once we have it??????

What Batsbrew said. :) If it's because you're interested in Waves, hold on a few weeks - they'll drop the scheme in March.

Waves is not going to require an iLok starting around March when they release v9. Other plugs you may want might require an ilok , the newer iLok2 holds over 500 licenses.

I think that there are a ton of folks who are really looking forward to WAVES going off iLok (me included). However, it might be wise to "curb your enthusiasm" until we see just what sort of new "cloud-based" thingy WAVES has come up with. While they've recently seemed to have the scales fall from their eyes and started being customer-centric with discounts and such their past history of customer relations is not, to say the least, very stellar. Just a thought.

Just a thought. You're right, I'm not doing the cloud thing right away unless it's 100% there. My iLok works fine. I'm more concerned about the 64bit versions working correctly before worrying about the authorizations. Hope my new WUP $200.00 credit/ voucher covers the new plugs coming out too.

Please feel free to give a try to EAReverb Here is what Paul White (SOS Mag) said about it: "EAReverb produces a credible impression of a real space that works well on percussion and drums as well as on smoother sounds such as vocals[...]The more I used this reverb, the more I came to appreciate its strengths."

Rain Look for RealVerbPro.zip (under "universelles reales reverb pro"). Thanks - it wasn't there though. I did find it from your original link. I'll re post the link along with the file name to help others if they want to try this recommendation from Bitflipper. http://www.echochamber.ch..ex.php/impulseresponses uad140_24bit.zip

You're right - I had both UAD's packs mixed up. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for providing the correct info.
