Hi, Mark and Robby,

Wow, excellent work on this great VH cover!  Excellent playing and vocals, and Mark did a spectacular job recreating the vintage 1978 mix detail to detail.

I did this song for over six years in three different cover bands, and it's always been a crowd pleaser and one of my VH faves, especially after seeing them do it in concert on their first headlining tour.

Super job, guys!
Bob

Mark is the f'ing man! I'm so glad he collaborates with me :-) It's cool that you used to do this one back in the day Roberto!

Mark is too reserved to bump his stuff, that's why he collaborates with me :-) I don't have a reserved bone in my body! :-D

I would like to thank Bob, because "he is a rocker..." I'll thank him first? Because Big Bad Bob knows how to rock, and how to rock hard.

Thanks Bob!

I just listened to Mark's original/latest mix again, and I have to say while other songs on the forum rock pretty hard? This shizzz Rocks "REALLY HARD!"  I believe he is a genius on the guitar, AND a genius behind the board. I'm a dumbass either way? But I have some basic neanderthal talent.

Great job!

What drums are you using? I LOVE that snare... although I'd bring up the high mids a bit!

Gavin,

The drums are Superior Drummer, the Allaire Kit.    I had been using some of the Superior presets but stopped using them in favor of using the Superior MultiChannel outs and processing in Sonar.   I mainly use the CLA-76 Blackey compressor and ProChannel EQ, that is about it.   I found the CLA-76 on the Overheads channel with the All Ratio Buttons In and some hi-pass really cleans the sound up.   Thanks for the comment.
