This was a problem I had, hence this thread.
My V2 registration number was no good. Just go to the link earlier in this thread and request a new registration number. Mine came though almost instantly.

Have you used the website and entered the serial number again?

Andrew,
When I called, it was quite interesting. There was no phone menu (press this button for sales, press this button for TS, etc.), just a message saying that the office hours were from 9 am - 6 pm. The registration screen said hours were 9 am - 8 pm. I called at 7 pm. So, I started pushing buttons until I finally found myself in a menu which finally got me to a very nice lady who expressed complete surprise that a registration code was even needed. However, she didn't bat an eye. She took my s/n and generated a reg code for me and everything is copasthetic once again.

You might want to inform the people who answer the phones that registration is, indeed, necessary.

Sorry to hear that

Couldn't be helped. No cable where I'm at. I do use other emails; my concern was regarding having lost the address CW identified me with. Anyone know how to change my registered address so I'll get mailings?

Hello Andrew.

I am having a problem now. I had to uninstall the update since it messed up my soundcard at first, but then I found out from syrath's post how to fix that problem by downloading ASIO4all software.

The trouble is that now that I have reinstalled everything, the update will not accept my Registration Code that you guys sent to my email. What can I do about that?

Thanks,
David V.

At the bottom of the list might be arrows that look sort of like brackets. The one on the right will take you to the next page.

so now that Cakewalk is dead, am i not going to be able to install p5 on my new computer?  obviously, i have my serial number, and i have authorization codes that were emailed to me for my previous computer, but will the authorization codes that i already have work for my newer computer?

I don't believe that those are tied to your computer.  I was able to install P5 with the same serial/reg codes on several computers over the years.

I think that the only Cake software that requires a server for activation on your PC are the "connected" applications that can be managed via Command Center.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
