Can you define instruments with digital sound, and by saying uploading, do you mean recording guitar in sonar. Next time you post please specify your pc specs and soundcard and ony other hardware or software pertaining to your question. I have no idea what your saying in the above question, maybee you can refrase it. Welcome to da Forum.

digital instruments included in sonar. do you mean the soft synths or the VST or DXi effects. Are you saying you want to import a midi file and have it played back by sonar soft synths.
I think you should read your manual first, You dont evebn know the proper termononlogy and sonar is a very complex sequencer. Read, go thru the included tutorials and even repeat them yill you get it down. Then after you have some basics, you can come back and ask a question that makes sense.

    r4dolan,

You would do yourself lots of good and save time if you run through the embedded tutorials in Sonar. That way you will have a hang on Sonar terminologies, language, and phrases and of course, I strongly suspect that your question would be answered more accurately.

There are a couple of materials also on U Tub and the Sonar Video achieves.

To patch-on a soft synth in sonar, goto <<insert>>, <<soft synth>> and select a particular one you are interested in the list that appears. If the list is not impressive as it is, then go to the plug in manager and scan for additional plug-ins such as; session drummer, cakewalk TTS, Cyclone name it as long as it is supported in Sonar.

Welcome to the world of electronic musicianship. It is fun.
