Looping Delays in in Sonar 6?

I'm currently a Sonar 5 Producer user who has some issues coming from delay when looping in a project. The longer you loop the longer the delay. At any rate, it's a known issue in S5 where some experience it and some do not. I think it has something to do with VSTs to which I have loaded the latest pactch for S5 which didn't reallyh help much. I'm at the point in some of my projects where I could really use the looping feature for multiple takes on a performance. I bought SP5 about a year ago and just plain decided that upgrading 5 months after I bought new was not in the cards for me. Now that it's been a year and the kinks have been ironed out of S6 (at least most of them) I'd consider upgrading knowing that S6 does not have the same issue with looping delays.

Anybody know of looping delays in S6? Any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Steve

Have you upgraded the VST adapter to the latest version?

Sonar 6 has changed dramatically the way it supports VST, so it's very likely anyway that any S5 problem is no longer there (but maybe some new problem comes, you know :))

Yes, I did load the latest VST patch to no avail. Yes, I was thinking with the way VSTs are loaded in S6 that hopefully it would solve my looping problem. And yes, I'm sure there will be some other suprises if I upgrade.

Have you set the delay plugin VST property as "configure as tempo effect"? Maybe you have the delay sound wrong because it does not latch to song tempo.

Anyway, my hint is try the SONAR 6 web demo and see if it goes better; it does not use nor need the VST adapter at all.

I should clarify. There are no delay plug ins that I'm using in the project. Just delay sends. The VSTs are instruments and the like. The problem only manifests itself when I loop record. Otherwise I'm fine. Or...is there some kind of setting I'm not aware of when dealing with VSTs?

    Sorry, did not fully understand.
I would try disabling the audio metronome (toggle to MIDI); I've seen all kind of timing weirdness using the audio metronome, even if it's set as not "playing" during record. Must be set to MIDI, even if to a fake MIDI port.

    Hope it helps,
    Mario

P.S. I do not get what you mean with "Delay sends".

Sorry, I did not explain that well. That was oversimplified. I'm using an effects send to an effect which is 100% wet delay/reverb. Thanks for your help.
