No Audio In P5

I posted a 'Help" here earlier today. I'm a newbie to P5 and I am having problems trying to access the files within Project 5. If I try to audition any of the patterns within the program - I get zero sounds! If I try to 'Import' Acid files - I can hear them. I've basically tried every combination in the Audio section. Currently I am using an M-Audio Firewire 410 or just an Sound Blaster Audigy 2Z. Either way I can't get the files within P5 to play. If I try to preview the files - they ARE playing but I can't hear them. I've checked my routing to the master bus. I'm lost from here - I know this can't be that difficult - maybe it's just a mental block. Anyhow I need your ideas. PLEASE and thanks.

OK take a deep breath ....
to hear the midi patterns , you have to insert and instrument in the track lane
to do that you right right click the track and you will get a drop down list, if you are using something like the Dimension LE or any synth that loads blank you will have to load a patch first...
another thing to look out for is when you open P5 you might have to drag the bottom down to see the track lanes ...on my screen the auxs and masters show ..once draged I can acces the track lanes...
also what ever track you highlight will produce the sound or not...
ex if you have a audio trak highlighted and try a midi pattern it wont play so be carefull make sure you insert a few synths first to preview the patterns
you can always change the synths and patches after you have a little fun....
