I'm going to try out a MOTU Traveler and see how I like it...i've heard some really good things about it...if anyone has had any experience with it then give me a holla...by the way my music can be found on myspace... http://www.myspace.com/LanceHartzell...tell me what you guys think..

Be forewarned that if you plan on racking it, the power cord comes out of the side of the unit so it is a bayatch to install.

May I recommend the Focusrite Saffire line?

And while I'm crabbing about ergonomics issues, isn't the Saffire Pro the one where the line in's are located on the front of the unit? Not around back where you'd want them to be if you rack the unit. Yeesh, what were the designers thinking?

Here's my vote for the MOTU 2408MK3 which comes with a PCI-424 card. This baby has been rock solid for me since day one!!!

RME seems to be the leading technology in that budget.
Beware of having good stable vista drivers, whatever decision you make either browse forums or choose a brand new card

Yeah, you're right. When I first saw it I thought: "Nice! The preamps are on the back", cause I'd normally connect more mics than lines, but now that I have it, I kinda wish it was the other way, like on the Presonus products. I absolutely love the two headphone outs, though!

the stereo.  sound card would be best than any on complete device. This is alone the recording of a side, because the access to the microphone of accent is pretty, if the application that 1 / 8 introduced the line in a music center adapter that will record the stereo.

I see, it's this same guy has dug up a few old threads. I take it English is not spoken in the home. Does not seem to be a spammer, just a little weirdness. Click on user name and read the replies to topics...;?
