I don't want to jump into the middle of this, but, this strikes too close to the bone..

I must support Freeze1st in his opinion of MSTodge's comment.

If you want to help me improve my mix, fine, but I don't expect to be called stupid as you offer assistance.

If you don't like the style, then say it is not your style, and be done with it.

If you don't like my voice, or the way I chose to render the song, either keep your comments helpful, or shut up.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, likes to post a song and be told that they sound like someone coming off 20 pints of whiskey. There is a certain amount of artistic rendering that comes from all of us, in each tune we post.

If it is not to your taste, offer your helpful comment, and not your damning critisism.

As I like to say, "Let he who has never posted a questionable piece, cast the first stone"

I know exactly where you are coming from Freeze....

Some people seem to think that when a song is posted, it is open season to judge that song based on their "taste" in music. I am surprized that so many of the participants in this forum chose to disavow your feelings, simply because of the honest anger in your responses.

It is unfortunate that some relationships were harmed in this exchange. Hopefully, in the long run, reason will provale and fences will be mended.

I do, however, feel that you deserve an apology from each member who supported the harsh critisizm you reveived.

Thanks for stopping by and adding to the stupidity with your ill-thought out comment that demonstrates you both neither participate here enough to know what is actually going on, and did not bother to read carefully the whole thread.

The reason Bobby's stuff is getting the kind of reviews it is getting, is because Bobby:

a) freaks out in almost every post he makes
b) refuses to listen to sound advice from experienced and talented individuals who have tried to help him, instead heaps abuse on them (he even called me names for something I was not even part of - which was him freaking out in somebody elses thread and then thinking the comment I amde about the persons song was some how about what he was fighting about with other -mostly imagined- people)
c) constantly sabotages other threads with his self-obsession
d) leaves in a huff for "two weeks" (usually a day or two), then comes back, posts a song or comment and expects that everybody will forget that Bobby was acting like an abusive tyrant and suddenly praise his music or be best buddies again.

This has not happened once, nor twice, but every week for months... its the same old bobby screaming and yelling at people.

Now the last point is, this is a peer based forum, that has its own dynamic and way of doing things. This forums participants are not here to heap praise upon works (though certainly there is lots of that), but is here to help us all grow as artists. We do this by giving feedback that is predominately objective; we do this expecting that the person who posted the song will try to address any shortcomings found in the song or mix. This is not a fan site. This is a peer site.

Those who deserve the apology are us for having to put up with so much of this from Bobby for so long. And not the same old Bobby apology: "sorry for acting like a jerk blah blah blah", always blaming it on other people and never looking toward his own behavior, then turning around and acting like a jerk again the very next day. No, not a Bobby apology, but a real apology... the sincere kind. The kind with respect.

Given that many people have been more than patient with Bobby, and given that this is one of the most supportive and well behaved forums I have ever belonged too, its actually a little bit offensive to me to have you come in here, Danley, and wag your finger at us.

Anyway, I just read Bobby's short response to you on the thread you sent to me, and it seems my empathy was misplaced.

As one who has been both on the giving and receiving end of several "over the top posts". I for one have sworn it off... What can happen in the short term is that someone (a lot of people really) can see something and react (knee jerk reaction) with an off color comment or two. I still make “cheeky” remarks; however, I’ve given to avoiding overt confrontations. There’s just no percentage in it? You will never convince someone to your POV by railing against them, it will not work, it will serve the opposite and one who may initially have been viewed as an antagonist, will hence fourth be viewed as a protagonist, and vice versa...

In hind sight, when one takes time to cool off and reconsider; one may wish they had a chance to recall or take back what was said :-( Alas, we cannot do this, so it is often best to bite one's tongue, err on the side of conservatism, live to fight another day... It helps to get older too, it tends to make one more mellow, like a good wine.

Nobody cares if you got trashed on your birthday. Really. It's not a big deal.
I heard the original post, and have to agree with mstodge's original assessment.
I chose not to reply, knowing full well what was to come.
Sure enough, here we are, once again.

Robert, I have no problem with you, the problem is being called names from the start, and Danley saw that I was right, and Shad come back and talked a bunch of bull about me via EMAIL and that's the problem. I am right for defending myself.
