Thanks Kev!

Ron - LOL - You are right, its a duet... why did I not think of that? Mind boggling. Yeah I figured its just a matter of finding a couple of super humans to play my music heheh.

Shad, that's interesting and unusual, in short, unique. Despite the choice of instruments, it retains a bluesy feel. Very strange, in a good way.

Where does such sensitive, fastidious, and exquisite music originate? Sorry, Shad, ... wonderful music always makes me wonder.

I'm certain all of us envy your virtuoso. This would certainly be elequent and bouncy enough for living-room and theater listening (but not the car). A *chinese-pastel portrait*; brief, deep, spontaneous, very lovely!

Mike - Blues eh? I had not considered that but now that I think of it there are some elements. That a cool observation actually. Thanks for the listen.

Philip - Where does it originate? Buddha might answer that question thusly: "does it mater? Is it not really only important that it 'just is'?".

Its unknowable. I suspect every person has a different answer to that question. But that does not make it any less interesting to think about does it?

I am not sure I am worthy of any envy, but I appreciate the sentiment. I dunno, I think this might sound good in a new Rolls.

Thanks again everyone for listening.

Cheers
Shad

ORIGINAL: robby

I enjoyed this, I enjoyed the space, the room. It felt like I was at a classical concert. It feels a little dark... And I know it's a concerto for dbl reed and bass, but it would have been nice to hear the other insturments "bleed in". Some piano? Strings? Horns? But I liked it none the less. Like me, simple and dark...

I have to agree with ya on that Robby.

Shad, this sounded GREAT! But it need's other instruments to add with it, JMO.

I'm not saying do the old "Add Bass guitar and Drums" thing, I'm just saying something is missing, it's not my genre of music so I can't tell you but I think you know what that is.

I enjoyed hearing this and thankyou for allowing me to do so!

An orchestra perhaps?

Thanks man.

Love the emotion in this composition. Very cool how much you can accomplish with only two instruments, great song.

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

Enjoyed it. Very meditative. You keep up similar melodic figures thru the whole piece... makes it very cohesive.

I agree with Ron... you should probably rename it.

Nice piece.

Edit and rename I think. Having let some time pass, I see two passages that are a tad redundant. I can trim them and still keep a decent length (as it is over 4 1/2 minutes long). Thanks for listening Ian.

John, Sorry I missed your reply. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my experiment.

Shad I don't have a clue why this is good. But it kept me listening with interest and enjoyment.

Mike - Why you enjoyed is of less importance than the fact that you enjoyed it. This is why I make music and its gratifying to have some success with that. Thank you my friend.

Mark - I am blushing. Thank you for your kind words. They make this very tired man feel a bit better.

Cheers

nice improvisation! I like the open space with only two instruments, and this is quite a nice piece for a raw one take! This has an eastern feel somewhat, I could imagine traveling to China/Japan. thanks for comments on In My Head!

Shad, a very impressive introspective improv! I like the choice of instruments and the acoustic space you've given them. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the mood it evoked.

Mike - Thanks. I agree with the eastern feel. If I replace the instruments with oriental ones it really sounds like its from the east. I do not know about you, but I really like eastern and middle eastern blended with western music. Much like people and dogs, mutts make the best breeds.

Gary - Thank you kindly for stopping by. I am happy to see my song still "on the charts" here so to speak.

Cheers
