This reminds me of Sanford Townsend tune.  We used to do a lot of their stuff.  Very late 70s, this takes me back sound-wise.  Love the horns and guitar licks.  Not much to nit-pick here.  Very nice production.  As I've said before.  You have the most talent in all the disciplines of this game.  Great voice, multi-instrumentalist, and you know how to mix.  Are you a killer with the ladies too?  I'm guessing yes.

Daryl... I think you're trying to get me in trouble...
Yeah, I did purdy good in the 70's and '80's... I was a lean, mean, Rock-n-Roll feind...   but somewhere along the line I turned into a short, fat, balding, conservative... Dang...

BTW, I really like your new song... very cool lyrics...

Very cool.  Has a Steely Dan feel to it.  The vocal sounds great in this mix.  I especially like the keys throughout this one.  Very well done.

Thanks for sharing,
Tom

Incredible song but pleaaase change that kick it don't fit at all, the snare should probably be something more alive as well. Other than than, no crits at all. Great tune.

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

Tone and, first and foremost, sound. Volume, snap and groove is very good so no crits at all on that. Only thing is that the kick almost (to me) in this song sound like an unprocessed TTS-1 while at the same time the rest of the song (maybe the snare need work as well) sound incredibly alive and organic. It don't really feel as the kick, and to some part snare, is in the same room and playing along really. I think the kick sample (if used) has to be changed to something a little dirtier maybe and if it's real or in a loop it could use a little layering or replacement. But then again that's it, two sounds that could be changed, the only crits I got. The rest of the song is just great!

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.
