Thanks for clearing up the MLK day acronym. I thought it was a celebration of dairy products.

You're thinking of MILF Day.

That one brought a smile!

I don't know about anybody else, but yesterday was the most depressing day I've had in months -- maybe as much as a year or more.

Blue Monday has come and gone.

I managed to get my wife down to Leonard's graduation party last night.  His band was there and did a couple of sets.  They are amazing.  Google Peter Sprague if you don't know him.

It occurred to me last night that all of the things in my life are just trivial annoyances.  Nothing serious, like what the people of Haiti are dealing with now.  Nothing serious like what they've been dealing with for decades.

So today is Thankful Tuesday.

Nope, this is an old Blues-R&B type tune, from the 60's I beleive.

Thinking of the mid-50s Fats Domino tune "Blue Monday"?

Here's the supposed origin of the phrase, according to wikipedia. However, it seems to have appeared in this context much later than Fats Domino's song.

Yep, That rang the old memory bell bitflipper. I'll bet that's it. I couldn't think of who did that song.

Q: What's the main difference between running over a squirrel and a trumpet player?

A: The squirrel might be on his way to a gig.

Down south blue monday was another name for hangover monday (and the name of the first script I wrote - about moonshiners).

What is the song about, anyway?  I never listened to the lyrics that much.  Have to open up ITunes, I guess.

Bitflipper, you are too funny, man.  Don't catch anything virtual penicillin cant cure.  My kid keeps going to pokemon sites and gets a fisher that freezes my computer up until I restore it to yesterday.  Bummer.
