Audiosnap in 8.5.2

I'm trying desperatly to get Audiosnap working in 8.5.2.

Transient markers aren't showing up 9 times out of 10, and NOTHING is happening if I click map clip to project tempo, or tempo to clip.

I have done a search for "Audiosnap" in the forum, and it seems no one has posted anything about Audiosnap at all for months. This makes me believe that I'm the issue here :-)

Is anyone else having trouble with Audiosnap lately?

The forum search never brings up recent threads. Try Googling Audiosnap with site:forum.cakewalk.com

None of the functions will work until you can get the transient markers showing. Shift-A or F12 to open the Audiosnap Palette, and then click the Show/Hide Transient Markers button, and drag the threshold slider to 0% so you don't suppress anything.

There are several problems with Audio Snap...CW will be releasing an update patch to 8.5.3 very soon...Most of the issues addressed are related to Audio Snap...

Cakewalk are aware of the issues and the new version is due soon. Hopefully all audiosnap problem will be eliminated once and for all. It poses huge problem for most users. The transients have a mind of their own.

I found a work-around (until the fix) to get the transients to show in larger clips

"For those that don't know this already, here's a work-around (until 8.5.3 is released) to a problem I was having that you may be experiencing:

For whatever reason, transients wouldn't show up on long clips.  For this example, I was using about a five minute live stereo drum clip and wanted to extract the snare beats.

I chopped up the clip into segments, i.e., verse, chorus, solo, etc., and bounced each segment.  Now when I use the tool on each segment, voilà it works."

The few times I've run into this, disabling/enabling Audiosnap on the clip and showing markers again cured it.
