Does your unit function without any buzzing? Do you hear any noise when you turn the speaker level up (no music playing)? Any static or anything?
If I did I wouldn't use it nor would I recommend it.

How do you know it has better quality components?

Behringer generally use lower quality components, hence cheaper products.
It's well known and something the company is proud of.
There's a statement saying as such on their website somewhere, it's certainly
in the manuals of my units (composer pro, ultrafex).

Also, most reviews of Behringer products aknowledge this too.

That is the rumor yet I don't see any component sheet on any of those products that proves that.
What is important is that one that bought the unit is pointedly recommending it. That would be me. I never recommend anything I don't think someone will not be happy with. If I find it to be a dog I will say so.

I have two other Behringer units and I find them working just fine. I don't believe they say that we use cheap components. If it works within specs it will work just as well as another with the same specs.

I hear a loud whiny buzzing pitch even before the dials hits ONE (out of 6). Like I said above, I bought the MixMon because it was cheap, and I needed a headphone/speaker controller at the time. But for anyone with more than $40 bucks in their pocket, I would not recommend it.

I suggest you maximize your audio output on the mixer level int he box. Anytime you amplify a signal substantially, you will get some noise. That is why you get some noise on even the best amps-

make sure your ITB(in the box) output is quite high. Then, you should have plenty of juice to get a good volume level without getting noise.

If you get noise on barley raising volume, something is wrong.

John, we havent conversed here directly, but I see your posts often. I have always appreciated what you have to say, but these posts on this thread have given me a new profound respect for your opinion.

I dont fudge with quality, and the mon800 is quality.

If one cant work with this piece of equipment for $40 and get pro results, I will take their business the instant it comes my way.

Mon800 is a fine unit.
