Because Jonbouy told me not to

I will not swim and play the bass at the same time.

Seems like a terrible waste of a fine instrument, he says.

And the bass would get wet, too.

    Hi,

He says you can't play with the Fish?

They are only good for learning scales.

Ohhhhh ... so you are swimming with the fish!

Now you got me worried. That someone thinks that all you play with your bass is scales?

Well, that means you need a lesson with ME! And it will be free. The only requirement is your bass and I will supply all the sound effects ... and then you can go scale that person with more jokes! Heck you can use my own cheapie for all the play and fun ... I might even learn how to play it better!

I can remember wishing I had a bass player who could play scales.  The low point was showing the bassist where to put his fingers on the strings in order to play his "bass solo".

    Sad.  Very sad.

I played with a bass player like that.... to his credit... he owned the PA and the truck...and had a good memory. So I could show him something once or twice and he could remember it. He actually became fairly decent after a few years.

The funny thing was..... after the band broke up.... we all went in different directions.....and something like 25 years later, we got together for a jam at a party in the woods...and he could still remember all the keys and chords of the songs....... I was like..... oh yeah...halfway through I would think...yeah I remember playing this song..... I think.

Ed, put your CC's away.  I'll make you one!  How hard can it be?

I have a saw, a hammer, some nails and I'm skilled enough, I've even made the kids rabbit hutches before and they have doors, chicken wire and other complicated stuff.

The kids are fine but the Rabbits are furious.

I'd have to assume this tactic of keeping youngsters in rabbit cages stunts their growth?

Brilliant way to save on clothing costs as I assume toddler clothes are still less costly than tweenagers clothing.
