Clip Envelopes

Track Envelopes awkardly do the job, but I cannot get clip envelopes to work yet.

Right Click>Envelopes>Clip Envelope>Draw nodes

Looks cool, but on playback, it does not dance around the stereo field.  Not a show stopper, but it would be nice.

Can someone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks,

What version do you have? One version had a panning bug associated with some envelopes.

Are you actually loading a Clip envelope that controls pan? Can you see a clip envelope that controls pan sitting on your clip?

Your step by step seems to have started many steps in to the process... maybe you forgot to mention some details that may help someone advise you with a solution?

    best regards,
    mike

I'm up to date with producer 8.5 - I'm doing the basic set up of adding a clip envelope (pan) where you right click on the clip and create a clip envelope. Visually, the envelope appears and allows me to put nodes.  During playback, nothing pans.  The steps I am taking are outlined above.

    OK then, next question.

Does panning controlled via a track envelope work for you?

Clip envelopes have some buggy behavior... but the last time I put a pan envelope down it seemed to work as expected.

It shouldn't matter... but what is your interleave set to?

Do you have any other effects on the track?

Maybe someone will come along that recognizes some circumstance that is causing your issue.

    best regards,
    mike

Do make sure the interleave on the track in question is set to stereo!

    jp, john and mike,

stereo interleave button did the trick - Thanks very much for the solution!

    In appreciation,
