hey all i can say is that  i need more screensets .  I need screensets buttons in every track . I need screensets buttons in mixer . Why ??. I can't tell u why ..Because is top secret ..One thing is 100% sure . Sonar need screensets buttons everywhere

  I'll give you a review from someone who has used X1 Producer extensively. Personally I don't see what they have done to upgrade 8.5, other then change the color scheme to a very disorienting pattern, change around all the controls, make all the buttons and functions clunky and over bearing, and thoroughly piss me off. From what I can tell it doesn't run any more stable, nor does it make my life any easier, let alone be different enough in a good way as to make the changes to the GUI worth tolerating. My workflow has actually decreased significantly since the upgrade. For example, Cakewalk 8.5's tracks and busses had a readable, coherent track output drop down tab, and now in X1, the drop down menus have some weird unreadable random set of numbers and letters. It's unidentifiable, and makes no sense whatsoever. Also every 10-20 seconds X1 loses connection with my audio interface. Unacceptable. All cakewalk will ever do is blame your hardware or audio drivers. I own a $2,200 audio interface. It integrates perfectly with every other DAW. This doesn't fall into the category of empty insults. Cakewalk needs to put more effort into making a more stable Bit Bridge, driver control, compatibility with different hardware, and a more accessible GUI that doesn't look like a damn spaceship. You were fine with 8.5's GUI, which I'm sad to say I'm going back to despite the ancient Visual Basic modules it installs that cause hangups on my computer. Get your stuff together Cakewalk!
