I use a ($50,- second hand) Mirai 20" 1680x1050 monitor, and a (new) Iiyama 24" 1920x1080 (ProLite E2472HDD with LED background lighting). Both monitors are perfectly usable with X1. Everything is visible and readable, and I feel no need to remove the "remaining" strips from the collapsed Inspector, Browser or Multidock - plenty enough room...

25" 1920 x 1080 6:9 ratio for Sonar.

MUCH MUCH prefer my 27" 1920 x 1200 that I use for CAD work. the 6:10 ratio is so much nicer.

Mmmm 27" (monitor envy!!)

Checking your signature - do you really only have 4 MB of RAM?  4 Gb maybe?

I'm using a 21" for X1 but Jim Roseberrys 28" looks real nice.

No need to correct the op matey!.A monitor applies to a computer display, just as well as speakers! In fact we can use the term to apply to anything that"monitors" what you're doing or using!     radar monitor, weather monitor station, computer monitor, heart monitor, foldback monitor!  regards!

Using a 27 inch Viewsonic @ 1920 x 1080 and a 17 inch at the same resolution off to one side. Could not live without two monitors in X1. I will probably grab another 27 inch soon as they are down under $300 now.

Gear: A bunch of stuff.

One 46" HDTV (Sony) here at 1920x1080.

I am sometimes missing having two monitors, but having a large monitor is so nice for the eyes.

I would say the perfect world for Sonar would be two 32"-40" screens - but how you fit those on a desk or wall is beyond me.

42" Sony 1080p.  Size matters.  I found I can roll with 1 on X1, but I haven't tried mixing down anything yet.
