Wormser you are right about the quality of the card itself. The problem is the drivers. They were never intended to be low latency. The KV Project came along for just this reason. They proved solid drivers that used the ASIO driver model and worked well. I remember I did a test on my CL Audigy and pro level TDIF card. The Audigy ran rings around the TDIF card in every category. S/N was better THD was better bandwidth was better. None the less the card was/is hampered by drivers meant for general multimedia use. The drivers that CL proves are also full of "extra" stuff that a DAW doesn't need or want. The other problem with an SB card card is one is limited to one stereo input or 2 mono. Outside of the above they are great cards. LOL

flathead Thanks to your thread I am getting flooded with calls from various Turtle Beach reps. Thanks for nuttin'! Turtle Beach Tahiti was the first "Semi Pro" card I got. It was a very good card for it's day, especially compared to the SB-16. That was before they were bought out by Pinnacle I believe.

VigilantSound I always hated in the manuals how they assumed most people setting up Sonar would be using built in sound cards This may be a clue as to why the FUI is now all grey plastic chrome. And to what the target market for SX is capable of.
