Help Clean up my "ACT"
After several years of owning a MAudio Keystation Pro 88 and having very little luck using it with ACT, I decided to sit down and read the manual to get ACT to do what I wanted. After and day and a half, I'm almost there. I do want to thank "thegeek" for his tutorial posted in this thread
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?high=&m=2168824&mpage=1#2174288 . I had most of that figured out, except the part about the shift key having to be a note (wonder why the manual says nothing about that). Now I have two things that I can't figure out how to do and wonder if anyone knows if they can be accomplished. First, I would like to be able to change tracks and select the new one to be armed for recording from my keyboard. I can get ACT to change the focus to a new track, but it won't actually select the track so that I can get it to arm record on it.
And secondly, I have seen reference by several people on this forum to getting Prochannel controls to work in ACT. I have found no way to that. When I click in ProChannel, there are no parameters listed in the ACT MIDI controller properties. There is no ACT learn button in ProChannel and the ACT learn button in both the properties and on the Control Bar do nothing when I try to assign ProChannel's controls that way. Could someone please tell me what I'm missing ?
Thanks
Ron
