The forums are where I go inbetween whatever I'm working on. I find that being on the forums is far more useful and fun than watching TV.

I'd like to be that person that is always making music and not wasting my time, but it's just not who I am.

Could be. Of course today I got accused of being Giorgio A. Tsoukalos less successful brother at on "another" forum. Would that make for quadruplets??

For me, the DVR mostly has some coveted shows and many concerts. I record the occasional movie, but usually won't like it LOL!

I knew X1 would be a leap, & that I'd find a lot of common Q&A here, to help me with my learning curve.

The fanboi vs troll opera kept me coming back...

I know what you mean. As I get older my likes are getting narrower and dislikes wider when it comes to movies. I pretty much only like old comedies from the 80 ~ 90 and horror movies. Just saw Zombie Land for the first time last night. Great movie.

Do you sometimes think to yourself now for some creativity, then the next minute you are here sitting down scrolling though the problems. Isnt Negativity the enemy of being creative...?

I say too often because coming here to problem solve is not (sorry) A Problem!

I guess that maybe a reason some will say hey this is a great DAW! Would anyone want to work with a rubbish DAW wouldnt that be a creativity block in itself?

Yes the forums is like an online magazine which you ca take part in and get your answers to questions straight away...it can be an inspiration dut cant too much of it be a downer in and of itself?

I do not come too often at this forum, because all that popcorn-eating has a negative effect on my weight...

Apart from that - I think I going to visit the forum more when the dust settles and it turns more and more into a place to find tips and solve problems. It is heading in the right direction already, but sometimes things go bad here - making slashdot look like a peaceful place full of educated and balanced people...

Do Major recording artist come to talk their lives away on chatroom forums or do they have more focus?
(is this x1 related) does it help?

Major artists as a whole are around musicians, songwriters, vocalists, engineers, producers etc. and don't write, record and learn in a vacuum as most Sonar users do.  That alone makes this forum valuable.

I'm grateful to a lot of people here, and I applaud CW (whom I will never forgive) trying to pacify everyone.  But I don't like this forum and I only come here for a specific reason at any given time.

I don't think of it as a waste of time though.

Frankly, I think there is a point in there. Maybe I'm just too easily influenced

That's actually here now, you do have to look a little harder though. Seems to be better the last couple of weeks maybe?

Mine's been in the pit for a while now. Focus is certainly an issue. When you can't get it all to line up in your mind into a cohesive set, sometimes  it helps to do something else that is related. There may be some famous recording artists coming here on a regular basis but I'm sure they are well concealed if they are.

Negativity makes me want to write a rock n roll song.

I think you have to learn to use creativity versus it using you. When you are not in a creative mood, write something then and there or take the time to study your scales. The creative mood i.e. that point in time that ideas flow faster than you can write them down can me managed.

How could a forum ever kill my creativity?

There's some really useful stuff (and helpful users!) in here, besides about 70% low level (mostly bad mood) soap opera.
But who cares about the latter?

Honestly..where else are you going to go to find out what's going on with you Daw  in the middle of creating a bangin track?  I would still be losing my mind if I didn't know that it was an Fx  memory leak in X1 that was affecting 8.5.3. as well. When I called the Sonar tech..he wasn't even aware of it! I found that out in the forum and had to put him onto that fact. He  was like "Wow! I didn't know that!"  I think the forum is a good place to go when your desperate to get back to your creativity actually. It's kinda like a Lab!
