Opinions needed : Is my DAW underpowred?

In another thread I had a problem locating some files after crash, I eventually did & got the song restored to pre-crash status.
Then in post #20 a member mentioned that my daw seemed underpowered...  Inthe tread I have detail a bunch of information I'd rather not have to retype & since I had marked the thread (problem solved) it is no longer getting any traffic.  So here is the link.  If you guys could check out from post 20 on & let me know your thoughts I would really appreciate it.  Thank you!

[<font]From the other thread, I am guessing that the one poster was thinking that the i3 is the "underpowered" culprit.  IMO, that should be fine for what you are doing.  People have been able to do a whole lot more recording on older/less powerful CPUs than that.

Where you might run in to problems is if you were to start using lots of soft synths/high end VST's (VSL for example), and/or high numbers of effects.  For that you might need more horsepower and more ram.

But, for what you are doing, you should be fine.  As you said, you are not pushing your system, and there is no good reason to change/upgrade until such time as you are pushing your system to its limits.

ADK knows what they are doing, and they are very good at suggesting a system that meets a person's actual needs, rather than trying to sell someone a system merely for "bragging rights".  Disclaimer: I have also purchased from ADK.
